Cause ya gotta have faith, faith, faith

He said to her, You will not be coming over here (heaven) for a long while. And I believe him. I will hold onto that life preserver, cling to it, every single moment. Fear and doubt will fight me for it, but they can't have it. It's mine. We are stronger than fear and we are stronger than doubt. She belongs to me and the cancer can go fuck

cancer, mom

Yes, we're very lucky because before they started testing she got it - her doctor post dated stuff until the insurance kicked in becuase he's just that wonderful.

She has BCBS Individual. The surgeon was very optimistic today.

Ok, I have to say that it's hilarious that Kirsten thought BCBS was cancer.

On a more serious note, how is she (and you) doing? What kind of treatment is she getting? Chemo? Radiation? Both? You can call me if you need anything or if she need anything because I only work at Meijer on Tuesday and Wednesday nights so I'm free during the days.

I totally thought she meant what kind of insurance!

They're looking at doing surgery to remove it but I don't know if she'll have to have any radiation treatments to make sure they got it all.

Thanks so much!! I'll let her know but she's been very lucky - her best friend has been really really there for her every day.

*HUGS back!*

I've never actually heard Blue Cross Blue Shield called BCBS before. But then I've also never heard anybody abbreviate the name of a cancer before. I was like, am I just dumb? Should I know what that stands for? Haha :)

Gwen,

Hang in there. Be strong. And if you need to talk, let me know. (On a side note the whole BCBS conversation was so funny!) One of my best friends had thyroid cancer last year, she had surgery to remove it and she's totally 100% fine. As the dreaded "C" goes it's one of the best kinds to have. Hugs.

Thanks so much! And you're absolutely right - if she had to get something, this was the kind to get. Glad that your friend made it through ok - success stories are always great!

*hugs*
