Mom - cancer

My mom had surgery on Thursday to remove the cancer. She appeared to be fine on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

BUT NOW....

I am trying REALLY hard to not freak out right now as I just received a phone call from my mom's best friend, Michelle, saying that they took my mom into the emergency room.

and breathe.

How's your brother doing?

I have been meaning to make a post about that. During his training they found him to have a physical disability preventing him from being in the field. So he will not be going to Iraq. As a matter of fact, he was offered a Honorable discharge with 100% pay for the first year going down to 60% for life in three years. Or the option of staying in, with a desk job. He has yet to decide. But thanks for asking. later ...

He has to be very disappointed to not be able to go - you have to be very relieved.

That would be a tough decision to make - when you train for the field, you never imagine having to sit behind a desk. I hope that which ever decision he chooses, it makes him happy!!
