Kewl. I wear glasses myself. I have thought recently about laser eye surgery but decided against it in that I figure I only have one pair of eyes and if they are screwed up, well, I am screwed, haha. Wearing glasses are a hassle and I have also destroyed my share by falling asleep with them on while watching T.V. or having them knocked off me (for one reason or another) and more than once stepping on them (by accident of course, haha). Also, it seems that my vision changes every couple of years or so. I just went to get new glasses about a month ago and was told my eye sight was improved (?) ! Strange, haha. Anyway, I am waiting for technology to allow for a lens implant that can be removed and replaced if needed. I figure it would be the safest as well as the most practical way to go (no permanent change/damage to my actual eyes). The following is a procedure that is somewhat of what I am speaking of (though it is too new for me, haha

The fact that you won't post a pic makes me just that much more curious :) Do you have to wear your glasses or are they for reading/driving/??. Do you wear contacts as well? It's awesome that your eye site improved - that's backwards from most people!! I read the article - that's really interesting - I wonder if they'll develop something like that for far-sighted people as well.
Alas, I am not a candidate. I am very sad about it, but I figure there are worse things in life... like not having any sight. Maybe in a few years they'll come along with something that will work for me! :) Thanks for the article! LOLove
