Don't book with Morning Glory Inn, Pittsburgh!

Jul 06, 2010 18:27

Late February or early March, I booked a room with the Morning Glory Inn in the Southside for the night of the wedding. BBB? That's fine, but I'd sue their asses too.

Suing wouldn't gain us anything, there was no monetary value lost, and I have no desire to stay there again.

I'm just making my experience as public as possible, so future potential patrons know what to expect.

Instead of suing, I would contact the state's attorney and file an official complaint:
http://www.attorneygeneral.gov/
(It's what the att gen is there for)

As well as the local Consumer Protection agency:

Bureau of Consumer Protection
6th Floor, Manor Complex
564 Forbes Avenue
Pittsburgh, PA 15219
Phone: 412-565-5135
Fax: 412-880-0196

sounds like you should write your own review gwen. As much as it sucks to be treated the way you were, in reading those reviews it looks like Dave may have done you a kindness without even realizing it.

My friend becky has retweeted about your experience and i felt compelled to do the same. I would absolutely add your two cents to the Trip Advisor site. It seems they are quick to defend their shady practices as "business" and are quick to blame everyone else in their responses. A call to your local news' consumer watch group might not hurt either. Regardless I have many friends that often travel that way and I will make sure every one of them knows not to stay at Morning Glory.

My Trip Advisor comment about this experience is pending posting currently. That process just takes a few days.

I am STUNNED that business owners don't always realize that their actions do affect them. Who cares how much the other wedding party spent. Honestly!!

Fortunately, you have other options. But its a shame that you had planned your wedding night and some schmuck was so insensitive about it!

We have rooms blocked at the Spring Hill Suites now, under our names. I'm looking into the Holiday Inn Express as well, details on that forthcoming.
