I used to love J-popcon, but for me I think the con suffers from "it was different in 2000" and "Damn there's many people" by now. (it's very hard to compete with the memory of a hyper 19-year old geek, once you're 28, has been to several cons, and the almost infinite amount of screaming and glomping 15-year-olds more or less scares you)
Unless they solve the overcrowding problem I won't go to J-popcon this year. If they don't deal with it very soon I fear bad stuff will happen. And yes, I'm serious... Overcrowding is dangerous. I like J-popcon for the fact that it's the only con that offers more than just cosplay and anime on large screens. But seriously... Overcrowding.
Jpopcon needs a bigger location that can actually have 1250+ people... but i bet there's a problem in finding that, within the borders of CPH and at a price that won't send their current prices even higher thank last year - I personally do hope they do.
And yeah, being a part of the Staff at Genki 09, i can tell people really did enjoy the con, people stopped me quite a few times to tell me just how - and i quote - "Super Special Awesome" this con was. Next year the limit will be 800 people(and i'm hopeing that as long as we have this location, it'll remain there - more people and i'd say we need to find a bigger place for the con...)
Hope you'll pop by next year Gwen - for Genki and for J-popcon ^_^
(Just so you know, was surfing around for pictures taken at Genki and found this, since i'm a fan of yours at 'Tegnebordet' and a supporter of Helpers/gophers/Pashiris ((who we know these cons couldn't make it happen without)) i felt you deserved a little message from 'The staff at genki con' or something XD )

And you're right, Jpopcon is pretty hard to get ANY space at.
But then again, it's better than no con at all.
