One of the ladies on the August due date twins board I occassionally read just lost her babies. She was 23 weeks pregnant and went into preterm labor. Her daughter was born May 4 and lived until May 6. Her son was born May 6 and lived until May 8. The doctors tried, but the babies' lungs were just not able to cope with life outside the womb

The other day, I was walking home from school, and I saw a lovely young family. There was a mother pushing a stroller filled with grocery shopping, and two adorable twin girls, maybe three years old, with the most glorious bright red hair, dancing along, picking flowers, playing on the sidewalk (despite Mom telling them not to pick up dirt). I said to myself, "That's going to be Gwenneth one day. Except that she'll know better than to tell Lillian or Evelyn not to pick up dirt. Picking up dirt is fun."

That is absolutely terrible. I don't pray, but she certainly has my sympathies.

I'm sure your girls will be fine. :)

It's always distressing to hear about someone losing a child and to lose twins in such a short space of time is truly heartrending.

You know we are pulling for you and the girls. May 21st is just a few days after my 22nd wedding anniversary. Sending you some of our luck and joy!
