Well well, babies babies

Long time no post! I was admitted to the hospital on May 11 with cervical shortening, and contractions I never felt. We were able to hold out with no trouble though and on May 21, at 8:56 and 8:57 respectively, Lillian Page and Evelyn Michaela Mostaccio were born. Lily weighed in at 4 pounds 1 ounce and Eve at 3 pounds 9 ounces. Both of them are in ( Read more... )

Mazel tov, mama, and welcome to the world Lily and Eve! They are completely and utterly adorable. And that is one major cord knot, yes it is. I am so glad that everything seems to be working out, especially considering how worried you were throughout all of this. But the health problems seem to be relatively minor, all things considered, and they look alert and ready to take on the world.

And they get to be a case study! How about that.

Ya done good. Mazel tov.

Thanks FP! They are fiesty when they are awake, and I've been able to interact with them both when they are! I just wish I could HOLD THEM. I'm soooo looking forward to that day. THey are our little miracles, yes they are, and I thank God everyday for getting them through what they have already gotten through and pray that he continues to help them get through NICU. And to help US cope with them getting through NICU. It is a bumpy, up and down journey and I'm still nervous and worried about the girls. I might call NICU now and ease some of that worry...

I look forward to the day they can come home, but of course I also fear it! First time Mom and Dad are totally responsible for two little babies who can't fend for themselves!

Congratulations, Kate! (Yes, and Eric, too.) Lily and Eve do look ready to take on the world, the little darlings. I'm so glad they're here and I hope they continue to progress quickly and you get your heart's desire of holding them.

Holy Mother of Mercy! I've never seen anything like those knotted cords. Okay, I never knew of or imagined anything like that. It truly is miraculous that tangle didn't interfere more. A case study, eh? Good thing the girls are too young to realize they're famous.

I did get to hold them, it was awesome as I knew it would be! Now to feed them ... Oddly, today I was thinking, "Wouldn't it be great if the girls could be the next face of Gerber?" LOL, it would be rather cool...

Yep, a big ugly knot all right! They are doing pretty good now, it's been a week and a half since they were born. I'm doing all right, still sore naturally, but I only took one Motrin today and nothing yesterday, so I guess I'm doing well in the scheme of things. I just wish it wasn't so hard to go to the bathroom ... but that's not something you all want to hear! :-P
