The happy post

Mostly, I’ve just been working too hard since I last wrote the post what came before.  So it was nice to finally see a happy day or two.  My brain may be fried to a light golden brown, but frustrations are peeling away.

My computer’s alive again.  Chicago was fun.  Pictures at some point.

The OCPS job fair was a couple of weeks ago.  I had high ( Read more... )

yay! we graduated! i got all excited when i saw your name in the program, thinking you might be there. and then they said "in absentia" and i was sad. sigh. but i'm in orlando now, so if i come across an extra program while i'm packing/cleaning, i'll let you know.

and speaking of things language arts teachers might want to work on... cough cough...

It’s called Legacy Middle and they’re mascot is a fighter jet

Cruel, cruel woman. I didn't use to do that (or it's for its) until sophomore year of college ... coincidence? I think not! Irreversible brain damage

Yay happy powerbook and visiting friends. And leaving ugly Florida behind. I envy you. Someday I may be so brave.

*HUG* You are the awesomest person ever and if I were ever to have little tiny changelings of my own I would quite possibly consider moving so that they could have you as a teacher some day. By which I mean, I <3 you and congratulations!

That said, I've got at least one of the Sabriel series here but I'm not sure if it's the first one, and I've got to do some saving before I spend on books as I might be getting a furisode (the kimono with the very long, flowing sleeves)... or I might be getting an apartment, depending on the way this job stuff goes.

Userpics? *hug* Will see what I can do, though give me some time. Your gmail account all right?

Changelings? Seriously, what are you not telling us>

And congratulations, Melissa, on getting a job.

Yeppers. Though I have two. You should use the mygallegos one because that's what I check most often.

SMOOCHES for your grim mood! Hope it has passed. As I told my brother, it takes a couple of bad weeks to make a good one. So hang in there.

Hoorah for jobs! Go you! I will look forward to lj's about crazy middle schoolers, in future. And hey, whaddya want userpics of? 'Cause you know if you give me free reign, there'll be cows, weasels, and poking. :)

I'd be vastly amused by poking.

But I have no other guidelines, really. I like pretty things. And books.

BTW, your Hitchhikers is the cooles thing I've heard about in some time. Adams should have thought of that himself!

Congrats on the job. I am so excited for you! Do you slide across the new squeeky floor like ice? Good vibes to you- no screamers, gum chewers or brats! Can you push books on students? I think that we should share our Three Investigators books with the next generation. What do you think?

I fully plan on pushing books. But before I can push TTI, I have to have editions I can push on them because goodness knows that they can't touch mine!

I just finished the eigth Snicket book, and am completely depressed as a result. I find I have wait a couple of days before reading another one. Hopefully, I'll be up to date by September.

Have you read the third book in the Sabriel series? Do you have it? I could trade you back some of your Snicket books for it!

And, of course, congratulations!

Yes, perhaps Snicket isn't the best reading material for finals time ... or I'm just weird. I don't own the third Sabriel book, I checked it out from the library. But I WANT to own at least a classroom copy (though it's a book I would hesitate to give the average seventh grader so I'm in no rush to get it), so there should be one around at some point. I liked it so much! Yay!

Congrats again on finishing! You've learned so much! And grown so much! And I'm SOOOO proud of you! I wish I didn't work! So I could come visit! Or even be online! We're supposed to have broadband (or something) soon! But it's never really going to happen! Arr!

Reminder, I must see the Wizard of Oz recording. Ta!
