I'd like to begin drafting, but the request I'm working on is rather open ended. It probably seems worse to me because it includes a character I'm less confidant about writing. I did some homework, read a bunch of stuff that was Character X - centric, and discovered there's quite a range in that part of the fandom. I just don't want to end up submitting a vampire AU for a person who insists on cannon compliance. I'd feel a lot better about getting down to the actual writing if I knew the basics of my story suited my requester's tastes.
Could I pass along a couple of different premises through you guys and let my requester pick one? Say, by e-mail? I could always send it as a reply to the prompt e-mail, if that would help you guys track the right person down a little easier.
