This is really lovely. You've done a great job encapsulating their relationship in a few words: how she seems more comfortable in many ways about whatever it is that brews between them and how he is confused and scared because he has no idea what he's doing but he's willing to try it anyway. Beautiful baby steps and subtleties. The bit about secret messages in Morse code during Relena's speeches is brilliant. I love that concept!

Thank you so much!! I loved this. Heero's characterization rings so true. This phrase really struck a chord in me- "You press a button, and the war stutters, slows, and stops." I could absolutely hear that in his voice. I love how you characterize his hyper vigilance and how it limits him instead of protects him in this new context. And the mental image of Heero and Relena sitting back to back in an airport pretending not to know each other is so charming a just a touch bittersweet. I love how you've characterized them as untraditional partners who watch each other's back and support one another. Everything about this = super awesome. I loved every bit of it!
