I normally don't read R-rated fiction, but I was curious about this one and the reassurance about Duo not dying made me a little more at ease :). I really enjoyed this, actually--Duo has a hard voice to pull off, but I really liked the narrative style you used (while parts of it didn't seem to me to "sound" necessarily like Duo, all of it was IC, imo. And it was all well-written!). The metaphors/analogies especially made me giggle -- The Barton-Yuy conversation club, etc.

Anyway, good work! :) And thank you for writing it, I tend to forget how much I like well-written Duo fics.

I love Duo's voice, irreverent, slightly caustic and street wise. His comment about the boots was right on. (I hate new boots and wear the old one's until Himself throws them out) His discussion of physics was hilarious and to the point.

When he was drifting, I really thought his internal monologue was great. And the end was just perfect. This whole thing reminded me, pleasantly, of Sunhawk's Ion series. Excellent work all around.

I do apologize for not getting to this sooner, but RL has not been cooperative and I wanted to read it all the way through in one go. Thank you so much for writing this for me.

I was surprised and a bit intimidated by the challenge so I'm really glad the fic was something you enjoyed.

Duo has an interesting voice that often wanders off to places I never would have expected. He never fails to amuse and surprise me.
