It's (non-)official: I am graduating at the end of the summer. It looks like I've been able to cram enough classes into this semester to pull it off in one final, huge push. Duric ensured me that when I graduate, he'll get me an interesting job, too, though it could be one of two. Either way, I'll get real money and the chance to do actual hardcore ( Read more... )

Definitely you should get your Masters degree while you're still motivated. Once you get out of school it's hard to go back. Once you get your Masters you'll really be getting hard core money! And you'll be in charge instead of entry level.

Yeah. I really feel like undergrad didn't teach me nearly enough.

In the space of those dots I wrote a long post about myself that was better suited as a discussion of me in my journal than as a reply here. Anyway, the real point is that I haven't forgotten my promise to send you cookies. It's been nagging me big time!

Sounds like a good plan to me. Having taken the working job route I can tell you that motivation for grad school is quickly fading, as I'm able to make pretty good money with the skills I have (in fact, I probably could have started this job at this salary without every going through college. I can't say I'd be as well prepared but still).

If I do go back it'll probably be in another year or two. I'd say the most likely time would be the 2008-2009 school year. We'll see.
