We have a historical paradigm for rebuilding cities precariously located within the path of a hurricane in Galveston, Texas. A large city built on a Goddamned barrier island, two feet above sea level, was utterly destroyed in 1900 killing six or seven thousand. Pumped in sand huh? Reminds me of Miami, just a sand bar out in the ocean that someone decided to build lots of old people homes on. Now they have deep sea sand collectors that put sand back when it is taken away.
