It is also Monday morning of the first full week of the year. I am glad to be here, and irrationally optimistic about the future. But, many things have been good lately, and the con is just around the corner. Generally speaking, life is good and getting better.

The doctor says I won't need an ablation, and that if I did, I would have to lose some weight first. I have too much mass to allow proper imaging during the procedure. So, now I have yet one more reason to lose weight, just in case I DO need the procedure later ( Read more... )

Or, at least, possibly the best doctor in the world at doing ablation's (that fun little burn-my-heart-please procedure they think I need). Lots to discuss, though, before I let them probe my heart. We shall see how it goes. About to make that long drive to Birmingham.....

My best friend's father-in-law died on Monday, but thanks to the joys of email I just found out today. I will be attending the graveside portion of the service today. His death came at the right time, before his suffering became unspeakable. Linda and he were very close, and I know Jim and Linda spent a lot of time with him in the past year. By all ( Read more... )
