When I worked as a bartender at Rose's Landing, a similar sit. happened with me. I had a very small bar, with probably about 7 people in it (5 from the same family). The band was playing a song and I started singing from behind the bar while doing my closing jobs. Well, the couple behind the counter heard me and asked the band (without my knowledge!) if they could have a karaoke night....and I guess the band was agreeable, since pretty soon everyone in the bar (including the band) was asking me to sing something. I waffled for a song or two, but after I decided the tipping would be better and what the hell, right? I did it. It was alot of fun- I sang Me and Bobby McGee- and it was good . My boss heard about it and ripped my head off......I was done with all my closing duties except the ones I could only finish sans customers, and literally EVRYONE in the bar was chanting, 'Sing, sing, sing, sing.' I felt it would be more diplomatic to go up and have fun than be a curmudgeon. I don't know....if I had been the boss, I would encourage my
