Damn near every annoying thing a customer could do, a customer did tonight. We had soliciters, a dog brought into the store, someone who couldn't understand that the outlets aren't for public use (even if you're only recharging your laptop) and that there is a reason chairs don't go in front of bookshelves. Talked to one of the assistant managers about the scheduling situation, and things will apparently be adjusted. I think it helped a bit that, before work, I discovered that I still had my personal day left, too. The knowledge that I could just frickin' bail out on Friday anyways probably swayed them a bit. When I got to work today, the schedule for next week was down. This, I thought at the time, was a good thing. It meant that the time off request I put in was noted and that my schedule would be adjusted accordingly. Not that it needed much.
