We lost Xena to kidney disease in October (which I didn't post about at the time, because it's hard to do that; I still miss her). Liam has always wanted to adopt his own cat, so we went to a local PAWS shelter last weekend and found this charmer, Kaz. Kaz was originally short for Castor Oyl (someone named a batch of rescued cats after Popeye characters), and we decided to keep the nickname but make it short for Casimir instead.
Smokey is slowly getting used to him, and he's very energetic and friendly. He hasn't quite finished exploring the house and is a little skittery, but I think he'll be acclimated very soon at the rate he's going. He doesn't stay still very often, thus the slightly blurry picture!
