Margot Livesey, The House on Fortune Street: The only Livesey I'd previously read was The Flight of Gemma Hardy, which is a retelling of Jane Eyre that I liked but didn't love. I liked this one much more. It's a series of intertwined narratives by four different characters, gradually revealing
