From an email tip I got today:

If 10,000
 switch from red meat to a vegetarian diet (no - that doesn't mean just salads) one day per week, in a year we'll avert the emissions produced by driving a car around the equator 288 times.

How does that reduce emissions? Fewer cows to gas-up the atmosphere?

I assumed the emissions related to growing, slaughtering and delivery - but maybe it is just fewer cows. . . :-)

Why would someone drive a car around the equator 288 times?

Sounds Fine. Looks like, if the weather holds, we will be at 12th Night, so if you are done with it and wanted to cart it up there, we could trade then.
