"Mirai, sit with me during our fieldtrip."
I was surprised when you suddenly said that. I just agreed. I don't really mind.
Only after that did I remembered I already agreed to sit with Suzuka.
Saaya even got mad at me saying I left Suzuka hanging. In the end, Suzuka said she was fine with it since she would be sitting with Yuto, instead (cause Ryo-chan also left Yuto hanging).
Umika and the others started teasing us again because we were sitting by each other (and it was a 12 hours trip.)
I said so many times that it doesn't mean anything but they wouldn't believe me. What is it they see that they are more sure about whatever the hell there is between me in Ryosuke than I am?! What the heck?!

Ryosuke went to our room in the resort we were staying at and asked if I have water. And there goes Umika again with that look. She really reads too much shoujo manga.
"I can't really help reading between the lines, can I? Their room is on the other side of this resort and he goes here only to ask for water? Didn't they have any drinks there? There so many of them sharing one room -Chii, Nakajima-kun, Irie-kun, Ogawa-kun -none of them have drinks?"
I just ignore Umika whenever she starts reasoning. I don't want to make assumptions; that would be complicated.
But I really couldn't blame her when she gave me that look again when we went to their room (so Umika can visit her Chii). Ryosuke has a 1L bottle of water, and the seal hasn't even been ripped off.

I was surprised when I saw new candid pictures of Ryosuke and me on LJ. Saaya was the one who took them.
This is all Ryosuke’s fault. He’s so rowdy. He always targets my hands! He squeezes it, pinch it, slap it, massage it, and just generally play with my hand. What does he think of my hands? Toys?!
And there goes our classmates again with their teasing. Suzuka said she teases us because Ryosuke treats me and only me like that. Well, he’s like that, what can I do?

Rima noticed I was wearing Ryosuke’s jacket and do I have to say what happened next? Of course, another session of their ribbing. And Ryosuke doesn’t do anything. He neither confirms it nor denies anything. He even laughs with them! He just let them tease us. Now all of them think there really is something between us. Ugh!! I really don’t know what runs inside that thick skull of his!

Our friends have asked us so many times about what our status is. We always give the same answer:
“Nothing, we’re just friends. Best friends.”
He’s the one who claimed that we’re best friends. Even I was surprised when I heard him say that. The last I know, his best friend was Yuto and Daiki, and my best friend was Suzuka. But since that’s what he said, I’ll just ride along... That’s what I always do. Maybe that’s the reason we aren’t going anywhere. But you can’t put all the blame on me!
Sometimes he acts as if he’s just one of my guy friends (and Saaya would say, “there really are boys and girls who are friends but you guys are too close it’s not normal.”)
Sometimes he acts as if he’s my dad, (and Umika would say, “Acts like an overprotective boyfriend, you mean.”)
Sometimes he acts all high and mighty (and Suzuka would say, “Mirai-chan, he just wants to get your attention.”)
I don’t know what I should think. I am not dense, I know some of the things he does exceeds the boundary of being ‘just friends’ but I can’t really be sure cause I don’t know if Ryosuke is really just like that. What if that’s just how he interacts with his female friends? (Umika: “Why, aren’t we his friends?”)
And I don’t understand what I feel. I don’t know if I’m just being swayed by what my friends are saying so I feel like I like him. I don’t know if I’m just influenced by what our classmates say that I think that what he does have meanings.
I don’t know if we’re ‘just friends’ or we’ve gone over to ‘more than friends.’
I don’t know what he thinks of me: friend? Best friend? Girlfriend? Or maybe his PA?
I don’t know what I am to him and I don’t know what he is to me. (Saaya: “You’ve already gone beyond being ‘best friends.’”)
I don’t know if you were jealous when Kanata-kun mailed me so you snitch on me. I don’t know if I was jealous when I saw Mariya wearing your jacket or if I just wasn’t in a good mood that day because Umika and I fought.
But it seems you don’t plan to make things clear, so should we just let this go on?

Lagi nalang tayong nasa gitna... kaya parang wala rin tayong napupuntahan.
Para ka naman kasing sira. Hindi kita maintindihan. Ang gulo-gulo mo. Sabagay kahit sa sarili ko naguguluhan ako. Pero kung di ka sana magulo di sana di ganon kagulo buhay ko. Pati barkada ko naguguluhan na. Hay!!!!! Gulo-gulo!!!
"Mirai, tabi tayo sa field trip."
Nagulat ako bigla ka nagyaya. Ako naman pumayag na lang. Okay lang naman.
Saka ko na lang naalala na nag-usap na pala kami nila Suzuka.
Nagalit pa sa'kin si Saaya dahil bigla kong iniwan si Suzuka pero in the end pumayag naman si Suzuka na si Yuto na lang katabi niya. (Iniwan din kasi bigla ni Ryosuke si Yuto)
Nagpaparinig nanaman sila Umika dahil nga kami ni Ryosuke ang magkatabi sa field trip.
Kahit ilang beses kong sabihin na wala namang ibig sabihin Yun, hindi sila naniniwala. Ano nga bang nakikita nila at mas sigurado pa sila kesa sakin na meron ngang something sa'min ni Ryosuke?? Ano ba?!

Pumunta si Ryosuke sa room namin para humingi ng tubig. Ayan nanaman si Umika at nakatingin sakin na parang may pinaparating. Napakamalisyosa talaga nito.
"Eh kasi naman, ke layo ng room nila, dumayo pa siya dito para lang makiinom ng tubig? Wala bang kahit anong inumin dun? Ilan silang nagseshare ng room, lahat sila walang inumin?"
Hindi ko nalang pinapansin si umika tuwing nagrireason siya. Mag-assume pa ko mahirap na. Pero hindi ko naman siya masisi nung tinignan nanaman niya ako ng ganon pagbisita namin sa room nila Ryosuke. Meron kasi siyang isang bote ng tubig, hindi pa nababawasan.

Nagulat ako may mga bago kaming picture ni Ryosuke sa private blog ni Saaya. Yung lalakeng yun naman kasi ang harot-harot. Lagi niyang pinag-iinitan yung kamay ko. Kinukuruton, pinipisil, pinapalo, minamasahe, nakikipag-punong braso. Lahat na.
Kaya lalong nang-aasar sila Suzuka. Sa akin lang naman daw kasi ganon si Ryosuke. Eh ganon siya eh, ano bang magagawa ko...

Napansin ni Rima na suot ko yung jacket ni Ryosuke kaya ayan nanaman sila at nang-aasar. Eto namang si Ryosuke tinatawanan lang sila. Hindi ko talaga siya maintindihan. Buong klase inaasar na kami, siya tatawa lang? Hindi niya dinedeny o kinoconfirm. Hinahayaan lang niya. Lahat tuloy sila nag-aassume. Hindi ko alam kung ano bang tumatakbo sa isip niya.

Ilang beses na kami tinatanong kung ano bang meron sa'min. Parehas naman kami lagi ng sagot,
"Wala nga, magkaibigan lang kami. Best friends ang turingan namin."
Well, siya yung nagsabi na bestfriend kami. Kahit ako nagulat nung sinabi niya yun. Ang alam ko kasi ang bestfriend niya ay si Yuto at ako naman si Suzuka.
Pero since yun yung sinasabi niya, ride na rin lang ako. Yun naman lagi kong ginagawa eh. Kaya nga siguro wala kaming napupuntahan. Pero hindi lang naman ako ang may kasalanan!
Kung umasta siya sa'kin, minsan parang yung simpleng kaibigan mo lang (tapos sasabihin ni saaya, "Meron talagang magkaibigang babae at lalake pero super close niyo, hindi na normal.")
Minsan parang tatay (at sasabihin naman ni Umika, "Tatay ka dyan? Umaastang boyfriend eh!")
Minsan naman parang senyorito (Sasabihin naman ni Suzuka, "Nagpapapansin lang yun.")
Hindi ko na alam kung anong iisipin. Hindi naman kasi ako manhid, alam ko naman na yung ibang ginagawa niya parang lumalampas na sa pagiging magkaibigan lang. Pero hindi pa rin ako sigurado dahil hindi ko naman alam kung normal na Ryosuke lang yun. Pano kung ganon lang talaga siya sa mga kaibigan niyang babae? (Umika: "Baket, hindi ba niya kami kaibigan?")
Hindi ko na rin alam kung ano bang nararamdaman ko. Hindi ko alam kung nadadala lang ako sa sinasabi ng mga kaibigan ko kaya feeling ko may gusto ako sa kanya. Hindi ko rin alam kung nadadala lang ako sa mga nagsasabing may gusto siya sa'kin kaya feeling ko may ibig sabihin na yung mga ginagawa niya.
Hindi ko alam kung magkaibigan nga lang ba kami o higit na.
Hindi ko alam kung ano ba talagang tingin niya sa'kin; friend? bestfriend? girlfriend? o baka naman alalay???
Hindi ko alam kung san na ang lugar ko sa kanya at kung san na siya sakin. (Saaya: "Matagal na kayong lumampas sa pagiging mag"bestfriend.")
Hindi ko alam kung nagseselos ka ba nung nagtext si Kanata kaya sinusumbong mo ko kay mam ong na nagtetext ako o kung nagseselos ba ko nung suot ni Mariya yung jacket mo o BV lang ako dahil nag-away nanaman kami ni Umika.
Eh mukhang wala ka naman balak magbigay-liwanag sa lahat. Ano, iwanan na lang nating ganito?!
Ang daya mo naman eh. Ano na bang nangyayari sa'tin??
Ano ba 'to? Pustahan nanaman?! Maunang ma-fall talo, manlilibre ng strawberry cake or iced coffee!?!?! Kung ganon, tera na dun sa cafeteria, mura lang strawberry shortcake dun! Lagi na lang ako namumulubi dahil sayo!
