Seeing her for the first time was one of the happiest days of his life.
Holding her in his hands… he felt like it was a dream.
She was so precious to him; Yumiko, his and Mirai's daughter.
Ryosuke wanted to have a daughter first, then a son, then another daughter, just like him and his sisters. But that didn't come true. They first had a son, Akiyoshi, then another son, Yuta. He thought he wouldn't have a daughter that he didn't realize having Yumiko had been his dream.
And holding her now- so fragile, so tiny, felt so unreal.
She looks just like her mother. He said so to Mirai.
But Mirai argued that she looks more like Ryosuke.
He showed her to her brothers.
Five years old Aki was just staring at her, a small smile planted on his lips.
Three years old Yuta was grinning, saying "I'll be the best oniichan!"
Ryosuke looked at his family, trying to keep the picture printed in his memory forever.
He was so happy; he thought he didn't deserve this kind of happiness.
Having Mirai was already so much, but he was still blessed with three lovely children.
Ryosuke smiled at Mirai, and she returned it, glowing.

Though still in her tender years, she's already good at singing and dancing just like Ryosuke.

Ryosuke's habit had been just watching her play. He thought he could just sit there and watch her forever.

Ryosuke just got home from work. Hey! Say! JUMP is celebrating its 20th Anniversary. There would be a tour the coming week so Ryosuke wanted to spend all his time with his family this week.

He was very tired, but he still needs to finalize some details for their concert tour.
Mirai came and gave him his favorite strawberry juice.
"Can I help?" Mirai asked.
Ryosuke just smiled and said, "It's okay. I'm almost finished."
He knew she was tired, too. She was currently filming a drama (the last episodes) and come the next month, she will be filming a movie in Korea.
Yumiko moved closer to them.
She's pulling at me saying "Dad, I need you
She was wearing her favorite dress. A red frilly dress Suzuka-chan gave her for her fourth birthday. She said she was Seira. She had been very delighted when she watched her mom's old drama.
"There's a ball at the castle
And I've been invited
And I need to practice my dancing
Oh, please, Daddy, please?" Yumiko pleaded with her dad.
Both her parents laughed. Yumiko has always loved to dance. But she loves it more when she was dancing with her dad.
Ryosuke had always said to Yumiko that she was his princess. So sometimes she would play princess and she would want her dad to dance with her.
"Yumi-chan, maybe not tonight… Your dad is very tired." Mirai said, smiling apologetically to her daughter.
"It's okay Mirai," said Ryosuke. He was actually looking forward to dancing with Yumi.
And so they sway to a silent music only heard by the little family.

When Yumiko turned six, she joined Ken-On. Though she love dancing and singing, she prefers acting.
Both her brothers joined JE. Both have been recognize from the start, being Yamada Mirai and Yamada Ryosuke's sons.
When Yumiko turned nine, the Yamada family received a project, a drama revolving around a family. Ryosuke was very happy that he was able to blend his work with his family.
Yumiko became big in the entertainment industry. She was just like her mom when she was starting.
She won many awards and her parents and brothers were so proud at her.
Her parents enrolled her to Horikoshi after she graduated from junior high. They knew that the school would be the best for her since she's very popular now.
She met him there, Makoto-kun. He was an idol.
She said they were just like his mom and dad when they were in Horikoshi.
She says he's a nice guy and I'd be impressed
She has always told everything to his dad.
Ryosuke knew it was only a crush. She was still in high school, she was too young.
But he knew that a day would come and it'll be not 'just only a crush'
In Yumiko's last year in Horikoshi, their class prepared a farewell party. It would be formal as it was the wish of the majority of their class. She said they wanted it to be special, because they would be graduating and parting soon.
Yumiko and Mirai shop for a dress. The male members of Yamada household were dragged throughout the mall. Aki and Yuta were glaring at the shopping bags. Ryosuke felt like he wanted to laugh but resisted the urge because he didn't want their glares to be directed at him, instead.
Yumiko called her dad, coming out from the fitting room, wearing a simple white dress.
She wants to know if I approve of the dress
Ryosuke smiled. She looks just like Mirai, but then he saw that his sons looking unhappy.
He asked them why. But they didn't reply, instead Yuta asked Yumi, "There would be boys attending this party, right?"
"Of course," Yumi replied simply.
And Ryosuke, too, frowned.
That night, at home, Yumi knocked on Mirai and Ryosuke's door.
She says, "Dad, the prom is just one week away
And I need to practice my dancing
Oh, please, Daddy, please?"
Ryosuke smiled. He would never get tired dancing with his princess.

Ryosuke felt that she was walking farther and farther away from him.
But he is happy for her daughter.
She is successful in her career, she has loyal friends and she has a loving boyfriend, Makoto.
He wasn't expecting it but
Well, she came home today with a ring on her hand
She announced during dinner that he already proposed and that she said yes.
Ryosuke felt like he wanted to cry.
But instead he beamed.
His daughter was so happy. He wouldn't do anything to reverse that.
Just glowing and telling us all they had planned
Aki approved, he was fond of Makoto.
Yuta wasn't very happy. He said Yumi was too young.
Mirai was beaming, saying she was so happy for Yumi. Saying she remembered how she felt when Ryosuke proposed to her.
Ryosuke was just quiet. He knew he should be happy for Yumi but he felt that he was losing her.
That night, Yumi once again knocked on their door.
She says, "Dad, the wedding's still six months away
But I need to practice my dancing
Oh, please, Daddy, please?"
Ryosuke smiled. He knew Yumi could see through him.
They went to their living room, and Mirai turned their radio on.
Yumi and Ryosuke swayed.
So I will dance with Cinderella
Ryosuke knew that he would have to say goodbye to this dances, too.
While she is here in my arms
Yuta and Aki came, too.
They watched their father and sister dance.

Still, Ryosuke was satisfied of what they had and what would they soon have.

He felt like this was a goodbye.

But she finally found her prince.
And he knew he have to let her go someday.
And she'll be gone
The music stopped. And Ryosuke heard Mirai, Yuta and Aki clapping.
He didn't notice but his tears fell.
Yumi hugged him, and she whispered,
"Daddy, I'll always be your princess."
