Why is it so hard to spell Gwaine? I know it's not spelled the way most people are used to. But, watch Merlin pause it at the credits and BAM GWAINE. Though my favorite has to be Gawaine. IDK it looks weird

Ahahah, true. Everytime I see "Gawain", my first assumption is always that the piece must be pre-S3 and that they aren't referring to the same character at all.
I haven't seen much people miss on Gwen's name, but the one that gets to me most must be Gaius. Some people consistently, through every fic and comment since S1, spell it Gauis or Gayus. I know it's not a conventional name, but the vowels are in alphabetical order! I'm willing to allow for room on Gayus since at least it'd pronounce the same, but Gauis sounds very differently.
Whenever I rant on this I feel extremely nitpicky, but it does severely interrupt my reading flow in stories. =( Can't just smooth over the name as we do with familiar ones.
You haven't seen people mess up on Gwen's name omg. It's beyond funny. I think with my name really being Gwen is why I find it sort of hilarious. I see a lot of Gweniveare. My friend saw Gwenivear.
Remember all the trouble people had with how to spell Kilgharrah a few of those were way too funny.
