My uncle got diagnosed with cancer somewhere last year, they gave him meds and told him everything was alright. That it was still a very early stage, and that they would have to do some more tests to find out what exactly was wrong. A little while later, the docs claimed it wasn't cancer at all. He had Crohn's disease, nothing serious enough to ( Read more... )

My mom's friend had a lump on her breast, so she went to a doctor to check it out. The doctor said she had breast cancer, and they had to chop off her breast the next day to stop it from growing. Her husband thought that that was insane, so he took her to another doctor. It turns out one of her milk ducts was clogged up.
The first doctor didn't even ask if she was breastfeeding x_x;

My surgery hasn't even healed from when I last had it. I've had it for a year and a day now. x_x My dad wants to take me back to America for surgery, because all the doctors I visit suck and just give me more antibiotics that make me suffer more than actually helps me. o_O

I don't think what I just said could even help a bit, but yeh...
*hugs very tight* :(

Q, I'm sure I told you my best friend, Julia, died when we were 16 from cancer. I do know what you're feeling in some ways, and I wish I could do something.

Yes, you're angry, and I know this won't help, but doctors are humans, too, not god. I also know the percentages of survivors are what they claim, but they aren't all from the same types.

Do some research on the cancer your uncle has and find out the chances of survival.

I know two surviors; both from breast cancer. That's 100%

I know one who didn't make it. (If i could remember her type, I dunno) But, I also know she was mixed heritage, and it played a factor along with her youth.

Q, don't give up hope, because your uncle needs you. Don't ever give up.

Unfortunately, it's us who don't have the disease to be strong for the patient. It sucks, but it's all we have.

I love you
