Tuesday's Drabble Post

Oct 24, 2006 00:39

Regular drill: 100 to 250 words. Header unnecessary but a rating is. I'd prefer to have them posted in the comments. A link would be fine, but it would be better if the links were given in the comments. Thanks.

Tuesday's prompts:
flying
secrets
photograph
pain

*furiously clapps* Huzzah! Brilliant idea! Not alot of people write about Jubilee's gymnastics. Poor Artie and Leech, this really show's how neglected they are. Jubilee is the perfect person to help him out. *gushes* I like your Leech!voice as well.

Though, space your story out when you post it, its a little hard to read crammed together. :)

I don't know why I didn't respond to this sooner. This story is awesome. Does she teach Artie too?! ::bounces::

Rated: PG 13 for mature themes.
Prompt: Pain
Wordcount: 113

There are enough scars on his flesh already that he figures a few more won’t matter. He knows most people would consider that an unhealthy attitude, but most people also wouldn’t understand about sensation. Or rather, lack thereof.

His nerves are all fucked up. He doesn’t feel things like he should - he once stepped on a piece of broken glass and failed to notice until Jubilee pointed out he was bleeding all over the carpet. Soft caresses and the gentle pleasure of breath on skin are wasted on him now.

So he seeks extremes.

Restraints that bite. Stinging leather. Nails. Teeth. There’s a pleasure in pain, because at least he can feel it.
