I am still around. Nothing that I feel like writing about though. I hope it isn't the same LJ-apathy that I felt last year after which i disappeared for 6 months.

Finished Bonfire of the Vanities and picked up Jennifer Government. Went to the library for it. It's entirely too short of a book for me to invest $19.95 in a hardcover version,

Easy read, quick paced, lots of conversation so it flows very quickly. Each chapter is about 2 pages long and focuses on a different character of which there are at least 6, but they are all connected, so if you don't mind switching mental gears and remembering who is who and where they were, it's fine. But as a result he doesn't devote any significant amount of time to character development. It's definitely not boring, so i'd recommend it, but don't expect a literary masterpiece.
