Define Vanity...
When all of your friends have decent apartments, fast cars, big screen TV's and nice clothes, how does one differentiate himself? By getting tickets to the earliest possible showing of the new movie release, of course. It's a status symbol. Especially to geeks like us. Especially when the movie is Matrix Reloaded. I did enjoy it. I think the first one was such a leap as far as special effects from anything that was around during its time, i was perhaps expecting to be as blown away by this one. When I wasn't, I was a smidge disappointed, but not for long. I may see it again this weekend, depending on time.

I am glad that you enjoyed it. I agree that the special effects were practically 'more of the same', but when it comes to what they were more of the same of, it is still pretty awesome. ;)

They sure ramped up the storyline though, didnt they? wow.

Did you read my mini-rant about it?

The story was interesting. A few inconsistencies, and a few things i didn't like. For example, why all of a sudden there are all of these random programs running around in the Matrix, like the twins, the vampires, the key maker, the Oracle, the architect, the oracle's bodyguard... Where were they all before? Also, what do the regular unsuspecting Joes and Janes think of all of this superhuman destruction and fights and chases that are taking place? There would be mass hysteria and panic, the moment something like that happend here. How come nobody seems to be the wiser? And if the Matrix was created by the machines, how come the architect is such a nice guy? And why do they continue to give humans a chance to rebuild Zion everytime they destroy it? Etc. etc..... Too many questions, not enough answers. I am hoping that once i see it again, some things will become clearer
