[If you were conficted of a crime, how would your partner react?] not go into a state or accusing or panic but calmly try to see what happened and how he could help to put things straight.
[If your partner was convicted of a crime, how would yo react?] i'd probably mantain a calm front although i'd be inwardly shocked, but i'd trust my partner wasn't guilty until i know for sure he did it.
[Who would defend them?] i'd probably hire a good lawyer so my personal feelings don't interfere.
