Another day...

I spent most of today at the gym with John. He and I have been gym buddies on and off since med school started, a guy who I rely on to provide testosterone-shaded insight on all topics of discussion. Dude, first of all I'm sorry to hear about your situation. I think what your friend said is quite right. Still to this day Steph still holds a special place in my heart. One good thing was that after a while, you either rationalized that you have to move on, or you got sick of the self-pity and loathing and decide to move on. Either way works.

She'll probably remain with you, but you will come to grips with it. It just takes some time and a lot of support from your friends and your favourite liquor. If I'm down in the east coast I'll give you hand in speeding up the process by providing you lots of the latter. :D

Sorry to hear about the break up... Your med/gym buddy pretty much said it all..
Seriously though, your ex will linger ( unless you have super brain power and lock her out whenever you want) in your mind UNTIL you meet someone else that's RIGHT for you later on. Everything happens for a reason. For now, just keep yourself busy and pre-occupy your brain with other things that's non-related to your ex. :::hugs:::

as for finding that someone else, i wish i didnt spend my life in A) the hospital or B) nightclubs, cuz neither are really conducive to meeting anyone.

Dinner was your choice no? Did you go out to dinner with her again just to see if there was " a little glimpse of hope" or some sort of sign that will give you a reason to get back with her? If it's meant to be, then you guys may eventually be back together again. It's just not the right time at this moment. Babe, you make it sound like you're 50 or something and life's about to end. You're only in your 20's - so go out there, have a little fun and explore a bit more in the world of singlehood.
