I have no idea who to vote for this year. That's not strictly accurate. I'm much more fond of the current PM than her immediate predecessor. I think she's cold, and hard, and evil, and thoroughly flawless at what she does. And I'm much more fond of most of the Labor policies than the Liberal ones ( Read more... )

I'm stuck too. I don't like the idea of WA taking one for the team, though, as I don't ever plan on leaving...

Well, the medical community is probably a bit against it because it is harder to argue about wages and things if it's one national body (AMA) against the Federal government. The AMA is probably less likely to come off well in that kind of argument. And because if the state-based system is said to be not working, then it reflects badly on doctors working in state-based systems, which is all of them ( ... )

Well you're in swan, like me. I have yet to finalise my house of reps votes but currently I have it down to,

top 3: greens, sex, socialist (not sure on the order yet)
next: libs, ALP (also not sure of order)
finally: Family first, CDP (probably CDP at the bottom
