Balanced oxidizer

It's been 4 months now and no weight loss. I do see changes but not huge ones. I see that I'm more toned but it sucks that all that toned muscle is still buried under a significant layer of fat. The same layer of fat I've been trying to get rid of for the past 5 years!! I realize that I am not obese so the pounds are not going to fall off as ( Read more... )

Sorry to hear this. It must be frustrating if you're working so hard and don't see the results of it. Have you heard of the book Oprah praised last season? I think it was called Women, Food & God. And apparently Oprah had an ephipany when it concerns her own weight. Seems like it's worth to check it out.

And good luck with adjusting your diet to the ratio you found. I really hope it helps *hugs*

It's totally frustrating! I see muscle gain and definition but the fat is still in the way!! Ugh! I'm so mad! Oooo, I had not heard of this book. Thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to check if our library has it. Thanks sweetie.

Thank you. I need all the luck I can get. Hopefully cutting back on the carbs will help. *hugs you back*

I wish I could help you. But I don't think our bodies process food the same way so I don't think I am in the position to give you personal advice. I wish I could though. Also, as a vegetarian, I have less of a fat intake of course. Do you drink green tea a lot? I am really a believer of that tea. Not only is it good for having a good resistance to sicknesses but I also believe it helps with getting the fats out of your blood. But we've discussed green tea before. And I am pretty sure you like it as well.

I know you've read tons of books about food and dieting. But if you just use your own sane mind and look at how you live (exercise, relaxation time and food etc), what do you think about yourself? Are there things that bother you about your lifestyle? Or do you think you eat too much etc?

Your advice is always welcome baby, though you are right no two bodies are alike but it's part of the journey to take sensible advice from friends and see if it works for you or not :) I seriously needed to watch where my fat was coming from. I'm making a conscious effort now to drink or eat low fat dairy and to stop using so much oil and butter. Sure oil is a healthy fat as are nut butters but still I should be better with the portions and not so gluttonous. I don't drink green tea that often but I am making all the efforts to change that. Yes, to all of the above about the benefits of green tea. I knew the benefits of it and I'd love to have those benefits I just never got around to making drinking it a habit but that is gonna change! I do like it ( ... )
