Farscape, Season 3

Probably because I watched S3 in a somewhat disjointed fashion, I'm still processing how I feel about it as a whole. It certainly didn't have the clunkers that marred S1 and S2. But wow, S3 was difficult to watch.

But what you really want to know is how I feel about the episodes ... )

Go away, Jothee.
Yes, indeed.

Jool is going to drive me completely and totally crazy if she doesn't stop screaming.
Enjoy!

I'm sick and tired of Rygel wanting to bail ship every two minutes though.
Ha, for real.

I did NOT see the two John thing coming.
And it's so non-pointed! Like one John comes, and then another John comes, and at first, you're like, "Uh, am I seeeing things? Did they run the same footage twice?" There's no DUN DUN DUN!

Then there's the return of Aeryn's mother, which, wow.
Who rivals Lianne Mars for the Worst Mother Ever Award.

It's so interesting to contemplate how far Crais has come since the Premiere.
Right?! He became one of my favorite characters, what the hell??

Basically a Scorpius episode, and while I think he's a good villain, I wasn't that interested in seeing his backstory. I like that he has revenge as a motivation - and not revenge against our heroes.
But what about the John in his head? I loved this episode.

Okay, so this was unquestionably a stupid episode.
WORST EPISODE EVER.

Enjoy!
At least she became marginally less annoying.

There's no DUN DUN DUN!
I know! It was all standard creepy Farscape and then BAM. Two Johns. Whoa.

Who rivals Lianne Mars for the Worst Mother Ever Award.
Lord, yes. At least Lianne never tried to kill Veronica.

He became one of my favorite characters, what the hell??
Mine too! I don't know when it happened, but at some point I looked around and started wondering when did I begin to like Crais? The hell?

But what about the John in his head?
Moderately interesting. But then you like Baltar and Six.

WORST EPISODE EVER.
Oh, no it wasn't. The Locket and several others were far worse. Of course, I'm much more of an Aeryn/John junkie than you. And Crais was good in this episode. Just ignore Stark.

I THINK THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I SAID
Hee. Farscape does like having it's big two/three-parters as the penultimate episodes, doesn't it?

So way back in the beginning of this season, miniglik told me that she thought the most depressing episode of the season was one in which no major character died.

Only a whole bunch of nurse nuns and children. *Sigh*

Mostly this episode followed in Farscape's tradition of having all second episodes being mildly to incredibly crappy.

Yeah. I did like the "Infamous Crichton Gang" bit. Because they would get quite a reputation, wouldn't they? Once a year they destroy something REALLY big.

And I can never figure out who I dislike more: Talyn, Jothee or Connor on Angel -- bratty teenage boy returned to his parent after being stolen away against his will and then turning on the parent... YUUUUCK.

It's so interesting to contemplate how far Crais has come since the Premiere.

He has quite the character arc. And through it all he's always still this puffed up, uptight drama king. And yet not so bad, in the end.

I agree that Meltdown isn't as bad as The Locket or a few others. The porn music was too much though.

So far, we have the Gammak base, Depository, Dreadnaught, and Command Carrier. What in the hell are they going to blow up this year? I have my suspicions based on vague spoilers ...

Hee. Yeah. I think that Talyn is the best of that lot - probably because he didn't actually speak. I hated Connor. At least Jothee didn't stick around long enough for me to really despise him.

The porn music was too much though.
It made me giggle. Stupid? Yes. But hey, I'm shallow.

Also, it's so funny how Farscape chooses to do "clip shows."
In that they plan to and then don't?

I strangely love it
John is just so eager and happy to see her and then he's just crushed. I know I said it already, but owwwwwww.

Also, this episode is better on mute, I would think.
Certainly it is anytime the stupid guest stars are talking. Gah.

With magical cleavage!
Magical Eviiiil Cleavage!
