My rent for my two bedroom 1 1/3 bath (the masterbedroom is connected to the bathroom and has a vanity area) is 660 a month cause it's poolside, but if I renew it'll be 680... not including utilities. when they wrote us about the increase they said it was due to increase cost in maintaining th ebuilding and energy costs as well. But yea, that's a huge increase. Our apartment is fairly nice. Not as nice as your place, but it's due. In the letter they also talked about how everywhere increased cost and such.

I'd think that it'd be best if you asked them about the increase and the cause of such a dramatic increase... then I guess juxtapose your apartment to others in the area and such for price, space, animal allowance obviously. But yea... that's what I'd do.

Hope it works out.
