I think I had Japanese food (and bagels) just about everyday in New York, oh and vegetarian Korean one night at Hangawi which was so damn good. I finally got to try spicy rice cakes wow been wanting to do that since forever. Oh and Maoz on the last day omg I've missed Maoz so much!! The falafel tasted just as good as the ones in Barcelona, I wish Maoz would come to Singapore ): Anyway it was insanely cold, but thank goodness I got this really good jacket from Calvin Klein on the third day, it was a total lifesaver. Central park was kind of bare, the gargoyles on the Chrysler building were smaller than I thought they would be, the Christmas markets were mostly Asian stuff sold at sky high prices.. But it snowed!! I was like wow this is amazing I've only ever experienced snow in the mountains, never in a city. I think the snow made up for falling sick and spending New Year's Eve in bed/ watching the countdown on TV when Times Square was like 500m away from our hotel or something. The shopping was crazy though: everything was on sale and incredibly cheap but the dressing room queues were so long and the shops were in such a mess with clothes strewn everywhere.. like a battlefield or something. And since I was sick, the crowd gave me a headache and I couldn't bring myself to shop. But Strand bookstore was really ~heaven, sadly my suitcase only had room for 22 books but I wished I could ship the entire bookstore over. I would love to visit New York in the summer but I'm running out of time and there are still so many places I want to go to, like Cape Town and Istanbul and Athens..

They opened with The Night Starts Here and it really did, everybody started swaying like they were in a trance, I just closed my eyes and let myself drown in the magical combination of Torq and Amy's voices.. wow. And then when they sang What The Snowman Learned About Love I could have cried, 'how the heart bends, and summer she sends a sky that refuses to die/ with weeds of the sea that wrap round our knees and a sun too hot to go down/ you come around..'

After the concert I went back to Xuanwei's house but the party was almost over. Did stuff with the people who stayed over til the sun came up and we walked to town to have breakfast. I was going to walk home after that but halfway through it became too hot so I took the next bus that came along and guess who I met? Luwei, who was already asleep haha looked so peaceful I just had to wake him up.
Got home, slept for a bit and then I had to go out to meet miscible/ timothy and brandon. Dinner was with the frenchies, Lyn and I got yoguru yay I LOVE FROZEN YOGURT. On the way home Debby smsed me and I started to freak out but my parents weren't home so I didn't have the key to the letterbox!! Couldn't wait so I just stuck my hand through the flap and dug around. Somehow I managed to get the letter out.. wow okay I'm already incredibly nervous about 21 Jan.
Yesterday was Pau's belated birthday party I can't believe you're 17 already, in 8 months I will be too and then we'll be older than the Arsenal players, damn. Jeanhui got a little trigger happy and now I have an insane amount of photos in my camera which I have uploaded onto facebook for a fee VIC YOU OWE ME 5 BUCKS KTHX. Anyway we went to the pool, and Becky & I were taking photos for the freaky gymmers doing freaky things and I'm like 'Becky what's wrong with us?' and Becky says 'no, what's wrong with them?!' At night Jeanhui and I went back to RGS for Orientation Night. I didn't get most of the items I must be becoming stupid but okay it felt very strange to hear them call us ex-sec 4s.
Tarian just now, I like the new routine. Then I met Weesian and omg mark this day down kiddos for the first time in history Goh Wee Sian was early and had to wait for me. Went to Canale to see Becky and Andrea and we got free macarons, WHO DOESN'T LOVE FREE FOOD?
