Resurrection!

I was away in the Highlands this weekend and left the mostly dead phone lying in the flat kitchen. When I got back to Edinburgh today I attempted to turn it on. Lo and behold, it came back to life!!! Seems to be working fine. Fantastic

More like, let it sit for a while so the water can evaporate. Water was short circuiting things...

Baking it is a bad idea, even at low heat, because some components and the plastics can break down easy.

Yes, but the point is the phone now works. I have a good empirical basis for this. The phone that I let sit for a while (but did not bake) still doesn't work.
