so true and its a whole cultural attitude, case in point.

I wrote one person whom mentioned in his LJ that he he was driving down the road, computer in lap, talking on 2 cell phones in hand and said I felt that was wreckless and he responded "i travel over 30,000 miles a year. Fuck everyone else on the roads aside me"

Yeah can you say that selfish attitude is a big roadblock. To me thats the biggest problem, the culture of busy-ness and on demand and on a whim. Frankly were spoiled, folks don't need to cook much any more thanks to the prepackaged meal and with the invention of the internet squeeze out more work hours than ever before even to the detriment of others.

For a start we need to re-learn the value of in person customer service and send quick scan units at the grocery to the refuse pile. Me and my friend here both would rather stand in line to be checked by a person than use a quick scan unit as we both know the value of human interaction. Its a small thing but I feel it is important.

Yes, somehow we need to teach "Jesus" values (not necessarily Christian ones).
