Aside from the $100 price difference (why are you so pricey, PS3?) - and the "exclusive" content on both .. what is the difference between the two consols? Which, in your opinion, is better?

I want to pick up one or the other with my tax return because there are a bunch of games out that I'd like to play .. but I'm still going back and forth about ( Read more... )

Keeping in mind that I have an XBox and love it I would go with the PS3. Why?

Cheapest Blueray player on the market right now.

I guess it is if you factor in that you are getting a gaming console along with it. I saw a wifi enabled BD player at Best Buy for $169, and a non-wifi one for $129.

I'd agree -- the blu-ray player is awesome, as are the games (I've played Arkham Asylum, latest GTA, Little Big Planet, and such -- all very fun and awesome. Not knocking the X-Box 360 -- from what I've seen it's fun as well, but no blu-ray.

The PS3 has e BluRay player, which doesn't mean much if you have a SD set and don't plan on getting a HD set. X-Box has streaming Netflix.

If Blu Ray is not an option - and it wasn't for me because I'll be damned if I'm going to buy everything all over again - I went with the 360 when I went round and round a few years ago. PS3 is cool. But the games on the 360 are easier to play, the networking to the rest of your system is more intuitive and I appreciate 360's Live network more than the Sony network.

If Blu Ray is your thing, get a PS3.

I prefer the ps3 not only for blue ray, since we now have a flat screen. The other reason for the PS3...Final Fantasy 13....enough said.
