There was an article in today's paper about the measures that hospitals are taking to treat overweight people. I would like to say that I am amazed at the venom and cruelty and the downright hostile attitude that the majority of commenters on this article have against people who are obese ... but I can't. Not really.

I'm on metabolism boosters, I work out and while I am pretty solid all around, that solid is a certain size. Ten years ago I managed to starve myself down smaller, but over time my weight crept up to where my body decided it wanted to be, it's own neutral.

I feel ya, lady. I honestly do. I know a little bit about discrimination and a little bit about not being a size 6. And you just keep on keepin on witcha bad self. You are beautiful.
