Two things I leanred not to say out loud

I did it. Almost two weeks without internet. I should get a medal. I don’t know how I managed to get by without looking up answers to important questions like: what are the lyrics to the Teen Witch song Top That (Supersonic, idiotic, disconnecting, not respecting, who would really ever wanna go and top that) or how old is Jeff Goldbloom? (59) That’ ( Read more... )

I'm nowhere near Jeff Goldblum's age, but the fact that he's 59 makes me feel way too old.

Yeah, I don't like reading how old icons from my childhood are these days. Haha. They are supposed to stay the same way forever!

I couldn't do an internet hiatus. It's all I can do to try to corral my usage into a managable number of hours a day, so as not to interfere with my chores/coursework/marriage. I commend you, quite honestly. I rely on the internet for informationa nd entertainment more than I'd care to admit.

I love clothing, but I don't think loving clothing, or even a style of clothing equates to knowing anything about "fashion," because basically I think the whole concept of something being "fashionable" or "unfashionable" is completely stupid. It's all about personal aesthetics, and those are subjective, so even though I love gothic fashion, and Japanese street fashion, and whtever else, I still reserve the right to say, "No, that is ASS UGLY" whenever I feel like.

(Also, my sister used to have SUCH a crush on Jeff Goldblum. She will ber horrified at hearing how old he is, thank you for providing that information ;))

It was more of a forced hiatus. My internet broke (or something) and the person repairing it couldn't come until yesterday. I didn't realize how much I relied on it until day four and then I felt disgusted with myself and promised that I would limit my use once I got it back. Of course, I just went right back to my old ways. No regrets.

And you're right about fashion. It's such a bizarre concept if you really think about the psychology of it all.

I used to go nuts when my internet would die on me. I'm not that bad about it any more but I feel you're pain though . Oh and hay, what the hell? Jeff is 59? There goes my childhood. - Sissy

That is what passes for steampunk these days eh? I kind of stepped away from the scene at the beginning when I found it to be, sort of orientalist. Is it still like that?
