I wasn't feeling all that great about 2007 until I realized that I started 2008 off 23 pounds lighter than my highest weight in 2007. It may very well be the first year in my life that I weighed less one year than the last (with the possible exceptions of 1999 and 1990, thinking back). I feel great about that ( Read more... )

Craft therapy's the best, isn't it? And so much cheaper than real therapy!

Don't make too many resolutions! Just pick one or two and stick with them.

I had throat problems for a couple of years and couldn't drink carbonated beverages. Once I stopped drinking them, I never missed them.

I'm glad you are starting off the year feeling positive. I have faith you can accomplish a majority of your list. I wish I could craft with you! that was asurprising change this year. my big sister, the craftster!

this year has already given me many challenges, and I can proudly say I am tackling them head-on. It is wearing, though and I hope the rate of change in my life can slow down a bit. One of my goals is to analyze my personality and learn how to communicate better with other personality types to help me lead and be respected more. I am reading a neat book from my father in law on the subject.

three cheers for perseverance!

Go Sister GO! *pompoms*

I'm very proud of you this year as well. You and Jared have had a lot of change and turmoil tis year and you handled it very well. :)

I hope you can get some serenity for a while, and I love the idea of self-evaluation. I've been realizing that I'm changing (and maybe getting a bit lazy in some areas) too, and need to keep a clear eye on myself and what i need to do to make my life what I want it to be.

I wish i could craft with you too!! I miss you bunches.

Rah, rah, rah! (Dad would say.)
My but 2007 was an interesting year. I am so much bigger and surer. And immensely glad to read your post, talented big sister of mine. As for the sewing, I got your purse and it IS beautiful (thank you so very much). As for you, you have always been beautiful, but isn't it great when we can actually feel it?
Very proud and love-filled hugs,

oh my I'm glad to know you're still out there! I just re-discovered your blog! Now could you go back over the past year/2 years in minute detail so that I can catch up?

Love you (even if you never do hear from me...I think of you all the time!) - Kim

it was very refreshing to read your new years resolution! i know its almost May now, so i wondered how you are doing with them?

i have been overweight all my life..and i managed to lose 7 lbs since december..but its so frustrating cuz i am so scared that it ll go back up! gaining weight is soooooooooo easy. well, thats life.

also, i saw some of the pictures of your felt food! thats amazing! you are so crafty! i love to learn from people but its hard for me to read a book and then follow directions. so jealous of you! i really adore the quilts too.

take care.
