flight of the swallow

I got a tattoo done this weekend. I have two beautiful lightly-blue barn swallows that fly between my shoulder blades. I chose them after I read about what swallow tattoos signified in Navy tattoo lore, about how since swallows migrate, they represent home and returning home. I think a lot about home. My husband is far away, deployed with the Army

I love you guys too. I've been thinking aobut you. Is married life even better? Ours was/is. I should call and you can tell me me about the world, any tacky presents you got, the deal with househunting... or you should call me!

Life is a rollercoaster and swallows are able to handle that motion

That also brings to mind the song that Dolly & Kenny sang - "Two sparrows in a hurricane" - how we are tossed about in life's journey and together we can survive many bumpy rides. Your tattoo sounds beautiful. It still doesn't sell me on getting one. I have troubles enough without asking for more. Small ones it's true. But, troubles none the less. I think of you many times a day and yes, I would soothe your back if I were there. Love ya lots.
