Spinning has become almost and obsession. I learned at Pennsic a few years ago and did it on and off, then about a year ago I really got the bug. I took lessons and know I am obsessed with Jacob sheep (they are medievally period). Sandra is going to raise sheep and I am covering the angora fiber.

It is one of those things where the techniques is easy but it is hard to get good at it. Kinda like belly dancing. I tried to learn from a kit, but I really needed someone to show me how to do it. Mostly it is lots and lots of practice. My yarn is stil not always even but then I just say I make all the "artistic" yarn that is so popular right now :)

if only you could train your cat to hit the spindle in the same direction all the time, you would have a helper! I know silly me, "train a cat". They train us!!!!
