Seeing as my familiarity with Captain America was limited to the movie version (which I have seen a LOT - my husband is obsessed), I ended up doing some Googling to figure out what you were talking about with the Russian and the metal arm. It looks like you've blended movie canon for the past with comic canon for the future? Whatever - it works. Your portrayals felt very real and IC, based on my (admittedly limited) knowledge and I really enjoyed how you brought them together. Nicely poetic phrasing, too.
