A brief note: THIS IS THE END, GUYS. All the chapters and anything I do in this 'verse can be found under my History Repeating Itself tag. I am planning to do some side stories, including the Miles/Irene story and maybe a companion piece/sequel to this from Holmes' POV. Also, there will be a post up at some point in the near future where you can ( Read more... )

I'm sorry I haven't commented so far, 'cause my life it is the crazy right now, but I've been reading this all along and I can't tell you how massively perfect and awesome it is.

I've said it before and it certainly bears repeating a million times more. You are a fucking genius girl. Your plotting is tight, the action is perfectly paced and your research is impeccable.

But your characters...gah...their voices. I hear them in my head. I want your Watson...I want him so bad. And I want to be Holmes' best friend forever.

I want, I want, I want to THANK YOU FOR GIVING THIS TO US.

Bravissima, madonna mia, maxima bravissima!

This is a lovely ending to what became one of my very favorite stories ever with dizzying speed. I actually had jitters when I thought about this story and wasn't near a computer to check if there was more. And I'm pleased beyond words that you're leaving the verse open, because there definitely could not be too much of this verse.

I was expecting him to kiss me, I guess, but he buried his face in my neck instead and held on to me, shaking, twisting my shirt underneath his fingers ( ... )

Here on schemingreader's rec, and I wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed this.

The characterizations are just as shiny as can be: a wicked fusion (as SR notes) of canon! Holmes, RDJ! Holmes, and modern young-adult-in-their-20s. You do a fantastic job of mapping details from canon on to a modern landscape, too (heh, the name of Mycroft's bar, Lestrade and his boys, and just a dozen other details that sell this).

There's a sparkling sort of energy to the narrative here that really drew me in, too. Like some of the others who commented, I could have read this by the hour.

Lovely work. Thank you.

Watson and Holmes ARE so much love! And both of them thinking they've got the better end of the relationship is just guh..love like theirs is really really rare!I want to roll around in their love!
Congrats on finishing the series! It must be hard work especially with the speed you've been updating the last few chapters. Though I'm really sad to see this end, I will definitely come back re-reading!
