what really busts my buttons is high, nasally voices. not only are they screeching in your ear when you're two feet away (think of those silent dog whistles and how much the dogs get tortured by hearing them), but you can still hear the squeakiness from 300 feet away

hah, I know what you mean. When you said that, I thought of Lois. Although, I've never seen fran dresher... and I would definitely say simpsons in its prime beats family guy. Of course, family guy also had years before, but I dunno how good they were.

deep and nasal are diff though. :) just thought i'd chime in
