I just submitted my LAST assignment for the semester... I can't believe I'm done. I'm sure I'm going to be feeling like I missed something for the next week. It's always hard for me to adjust to actually having a break haha.

Now I get to bit at my nails nervously until grades are posted.. fun.

ahhhh... that has got to feel good. I cannot WAIT until October when I get a break. I'll have my Associate's which will add a nice touch to the break too because I can celebrate too!

When do you start classes again? Any plans for your break???

I start class again in September I think.. I still haven't picked my classes. I think I'm going to take a lighting class but, I'm not sure if I should take it on campus or online. The only plan I have is to go to the beach and get a tan haha. Unfortunately, Chris is taking summer classes but he'll be done around the same time as you. He told me the other day that when he transfers to a 4 yr school he will have an AA in mathematics because of all the math and physics classes.
Have you read the post before this? He's on a trip about wanting to be a spaceman.

I agree with Kim. DEEP BREATH! You're done! How does it feel to have so much road behind you?? You should take a moment to give yourself a hefty pat on the back for achieving so very much.

ughhhhh but Cathy I DONT feel like I achieved anything! I feel like i'm going to be 30 when I get my BFA and by then i'll want to be married and have babies. I think I'm afraid that after all this is over I won't want to do it anymore : [

The tricky thing about school, college in particular, is that the gratification is rarely, if ever, immediate in nature. People have this notion that everything in life must be done by a certain age otherwise it is simply not worth doing. I am not one to follow this mode of thought. Who is to say that when you graduate you can't have both a family and a career. Perhaps you can audit some businesses classes and look into outlets for selling the beautiful pieces that you create with your beautiful eye. Perhaps you're right and you will just want to settle down and have a family, but having that degree opens up a world of doors for you at any given point in your life plus it sends an invaluable message to your future children about hard work, perseverance, as well as setting and achieving goals. Maybe you will find no use for it at 30, but what about at 50-55 when your kids are grown and you are out of the house, but Chris is still working. You are far too self-aware and driven to sit around and do nothing ( ... )
