Quote: (This is long, but it's a verse to a very long poem, one of my favorites)...
"Far other dreams my erring soul employ,
Far other raptures, of unholy joy:
When at the close of each sad, sorrowing day,
Fancy restores what vengeance snatch'd away,
Then conscience sleeps, and leaving nature free,
All my loose soul unbounded springs to thee.
Oh curs'd, dear horrors of all-conscious night!
How glowing guilt exalts the keen delight!
Provoking Daemons all restraint remove,
And stir within me every source of love.
I hear thee, view thee, gaze o'er all thy charms,
And round thy phantom glue my clasping arms.
I wake - no more I hear, no more I view,
The phantom flies me, as unkind as you.
I call aloud; it hears not what I say;
I stretch my empty arms; it glides away.
To dream once more I close my willing eyes;
Ye soft illusions, dear deceits, arise!
Alas, no more - methinks we wand'ring go
Through dreary wastes, and weep each other's woe,
Where round some mould'ring tower pale ivy creeps,
And low-brow'd rocks hang nodding o'er the deeps.
Sudden you mount, you beckon from the skies;
Clouds interpose, waves roar, and winds arise.
I shriek, start up, the same sad prospect find,
And wake to all the griefs I left behind."

*Opinions on*
Relationships: Relationships are hard. They can be short, but all teach you something. Relationships between true friends are few and far between, yet strong and never lost. Relationships between lovers can be brief and intense. Relationships between soulmates are a long and hard road that can be the best and worst thing you ever experience in your life, and all the worth is shown.
Love: I think I covered this in the last answer.
Bush: I think he is human, just like all of us. I think politics have sucked him in and that, while he may think he is doing things right, he has really pulled America down with him. As a president, I do not believe he has done anything he proposed to do, nor has he handled war circumstances very well. I also believe that his party affiliations and religious beliefs have too much weight on his decisions and appointments. That is all I will say about that for now.
Drugs: I have done marijuana and taken pills (like painkillers, muscle relaxers, anti-depressants, etc). I think that many of these drugs are inevitably going to be used by a majority of young people whether it be due to peer pressure or curiosity or rebellion. I think that marijuana is not as bad as many make it out to be, but that it shouldn't be used when driving or any such thing. I think that many other hard drugs can really screw up your life. However, I have many friends who do drugs on occassion. I don't condemn it, I just think it's thin ice.
Alcohol: I honestly (although I am not yet 21) enjoy alcohol every now and then, and even getting a little "tipsy" on special occassions or every once in a while. However, it all depends on the person and the circumstance. Alcohol can be dangerous if used for long periods of time and/or in large amounts or while driving, especially. I just think people should take responsibility for themselves and not allow it to go too far.
Blondes: I don't have much to say about them. I think some are ditsy, if that's what you're getting at. But so are some brunettes. For some reason, I'm not particularly attracted to blondes for the most part, though.
Brunettes: I think brunettes are very attractive (and not because I am one).
New Orleans: I think what happened recently with the hurricane was quite tragic. I don't really know what to say about it except that it's a shame that we had to learn from the horrible mistakes made there. There is no excuse for leaving senior citizens to die in a home because no one was there to help them. There is no excuse for the way many of the things were handled prior to and following the disaster.
Abortions: It's so hard to have just a little to say on this topic. All I can say is that I really feel that I could never endure the emotional trauma following an abortion. I understand the developmental process of a child, but to me, if a child is growing inside me and has the potential to be an actual human being, abortion would be the most difficult thing for me to do. I understand that there are many different circumstances however, and I am sympathetic to those women who may die if they continue with the pregnancy and other such situations. I disagree with the supposed naivety of young girls and their irresponsibility in some cases. I think that the education provided should be enough to teach teenage girls to either not sleep with anyone or to expect the possible consequences. However, as far as the legality of abortion, I think it should remain legal because not everyone has these opinions (as is their right) and because taking it away and making it illegal wouldn't solve anything. It would just make people do it in a more dangerous and illegal way and women would be more likely to lose their lives as well.
Same sex marriage: Well, this one comes up a lot. It's hard for me to condense my opinion into a few sentences or a single short paragraph on this topic. However, I believe that love is love (as cliche as that sounds). I believe that when you fall in love, you should be able to have that recognized legally as all of the "heterosexual couples" do in our society. I think that the arguments made by conservatives and those who are deeply rooted in their own Christian beliefs are quite close-minded. Neglecting couples' rights to get married should have good reason and I don't believe there is a good reason in reference to homosexual marriages. Some people of the Christian faith make the "point" or statement that marriage is sacred, between a man and a woman and it is sacred because it is carried out in the eyes of God and to allow marriage of those of the same sex would be to allow an abomination in the eyes of their Lord. However, Atheist couples marry in our country without the belief in any "god." They are not refused the right because they do not believe. Having no faith is a sin in itself in the Christian faith and if being married is "joining in the eyes of God," Atheists' marriages would, too, be an abomination...would it not? There are many counters I can make for the many arguments thrown around about why "gays" shouldn't be married. I have no problem with homosexuals, their love, their lives, or their marriage. (P.S. I also think the topic of gay marriage is extremely over-discussed)
*Questions*
Do you play any sports, if yes what: No, I don't play any sports. I am pretty challenged when it comes to phyical coordination, lol.
Do you have a role model, if so, who: I don't like to idolize people. However, I do respect different people for different things and the marks they have made on this world. I just prefer not to single out one person as an idol. I just don't think any one person is that perfect.
What is your favorite thing about yourself (PHYSICALLY AND PERSONALITY): Physically, I think I would say I like my eyes the most. Personality? I think I am easy to converse with and that I have a pretty good sense of humor. I am also very open-minded.
What is your least favorite thing about yourself (PHYSICALLY AND PERSONALITY): Physically, I am not particularly fond of my body as a whole (I think I could use to lose some weight). Personality-wise? I think I could be a bit more outgoing. I don't jump out there and talk to people I don't know at first.
What is your biggest pet peeve? I am pretty much a grammar nazi, haha. I hate it when people substitute "you're" for "your" or "they're" for "their" or "there" and any combination of that misuse, especially. Haha, it drives me nuts.
If you could change yourself, what would it be? Probably my weight. But I am working on that and doing pretty well. So I would also have to say my upper body strength, haha.
Describe yourself in 4 words: Curious, literary, creative mind.
What is your most embarrassing moment? Probably the time when I was younger and I was wearing a dress with stockings...thought I looked so pretty. I came out of the bathroom and my dress was a little bit stuffed into the top of the pantyhose. Everyone could see my little 7 year old butt.
*Out of the two:*
Duff or Lohan: Duff, she's cuter I think.

Pop or rock: Rock, I just prefer it.
Skirts or jeans: Jeans, they're less hassle and more comfort.
Cat or dog: Cats, they're more my style - relaxed.
Christina or Britney: Christina, she's a little less fake.
