Part of my problem is that (aside from being really busy) anything I want to say seems really dumb, boring, inconsequential or self-absorbed. I like reading OTHERS' posts that are just as trivial, though, so I'm not sure why that stops me

I am sort of the same. I'm crap at posting here, but I still read it daily, because I like keeping track of people. So I keep track here and FB, and hope for the best :)

And do you do the same thing as me, where you READ daily, but then don't contribute, and then think BUT IF EVERYONE WAS LIKE ME THEN THERE WOULD BE NOTHING TO READ!!! ?

Yeah, that thought has occured to me often. But since more people seem to be at FB, that's where I spend more time. It's a nasty cycle.

Plus, I lead an uninteresting life, and suck at writing.
