Thanks, I think. It's the darkest thing I've written in a long while. My muse suddenly woke up with the news out of Comic Con, so I'll probably post more stories soon.
I think getting back into fic has been a little therepeutic for me, because it's helping me let go of canon once and for all. I didn't watch for most of last season, but I kept up with the storylines and popped in for a couple of episodes. It's a mistake I don't plan to repeat this year.
Now I have shivers, after having read "Frozen". You weren't kidding about it having a creepy element. It's dark but the writing was compelling and I was almost holding my breath at the end.
I got so excited when I saw just the title--the possibility that you'd written fic!...I actually double checked to see that, yup, it was you and the subject line did say SV fic...:)
Then I saw the Chlollie mention and that got me even more excited. Any shape or form, I love them!
And then--I merrily began to read...dark-shmark warning...I had fic! From you!
...It was so, so...chilling and kinda merciless.
He lost faith and forgot hers.
I loved this so much.
“I slit my wrists. I hung myself from the rafters...
How she basically lists one after the other, the ways she's tried to kill herself, caused this onslaught of horrible images in my head. It was horrifying and powerful.
“At first, I thought it was my ‘gift’. That I would never be free. Then I felt them.”...Oh wow...she went through all of this, all by herself. The fact that she survived this psychotic situation (because, of course, she had no choice) just made it easier to see why she'd feel Chloe Sullivan was dead

I have like, no words. This was creepy, scary, and really beautiful. And so, so hopeless.
