When it says a sizable amount of imagery, does that apply to new stuff like stock/textures? (i.e. are we allowed to crop the original image sizably?)

When I say "do not edit a sizable amount of imagery in or out of the icon", I mean edits like taking a person in or out of the icon (like, putting Steve into a cap of Danny and Grace). Stock and textures are fine.

Sorry, I should probably know this already, but what does an open round mean? Do we choose any character? Or can we do multiple characters?

It means there are no restrictions on your subjects - you're not limited to a certain character or episode, you can draw from any aired episode.
