we sharpiesgal and I intended to open sign ups a couple weeks ago but real life bit us in the backside.

We are going with a slightly different format this year. We are going to allow art this year as well as fiction and have all stories and art due on the same day (tentatively December first) after which we will ask for pinch hits if needed and then we will ( Read more... )

when do sign ups close? and when will assignments be given out?

approximate dates are fine. I'm fill out the challenge information and everything is being directed back here, to the community, if anyone finds the challenge/gift exchange on AO3.

Still working out a lot of the kinks, but I'm confident that by the time posting of fics comes around, I'll have a better hang of it. Posting can be done anonymously and right now it's set up for works to be revealed beginning on December 1 and author reveals on January 1. If that needs to be changed, I can do so.

Oh why would you need details like that, lol. Sign ups open for two weeks so let's say they will close the 16th which will be right after I get back from being out of town. Assignments no later than the 20th. Assignments due around Dec 1st If sharpiesgal and I have to post them to the com then around then, if we can have them posted to AO3 annon and do reveals then we probably can extend the deadline. Do story reveals before Christmas and then author reveals after Christmas. Does all of that make sense? (I'm on puppy watch for a litter and getting ready for another dog show next week so I'm frazzled, lol)

Something that might be easy for you and sharpiesgal is to have the author/artist post the work to AO3 after they've e-mailed it to you. Then whenever you post it to the community, it can be revealed at the same time on AO3 (still anonymously). I can set the date for author reveals for whatever date you decide.

I hope that makes sense

That did make sense and I like that idea. We're going to have to come up with a rock solid due date, which means I need to figure out if my family is going to Vegas in December, lol
